German 1-on-1 Lessons (60 min session)

Service Description

Whether you just want to practice speaking or prepare for an exam, in this lesson, your tutor will focus on your specific study goals. Ask for a free trial lesson, to meet your tutor and talk about your needs! Example lesson: "Let's Talk!" If you do not live in a German speaking country, or you study German with many other students, then your personal speaking time can often be too short to satisfy your needs. In a speaking lesson, you have the time to speak, think and process. Your tutor will prompt you with questions, and of course supply you with alternative phrases and vocabulary. Your tutor will also help you practice situations that are typical and appropriate for your level. Most commonly you will learn to talk about your day, jumping between past, present and future tenses. You will spontaneously describe things you see or experienced, and you will talk about topics most interesting to you. Feel free send your tutor an article that you read and want to discuss, or ask your tutor to suggest something to read that you can then talk about during the session. Most importantly, do not be fearful and shy to make mistakes. Your tutor is there to help and support you!  Example lesson: Practice your written communication skills Written communication in a foreign language is difficult and requires a lot of practice: Your spelling should be correct, the words an phrases you should use differ from spoken communication, and your formulations should be appropriate for the person or audience you are addressing. If you study alone or in a group with many other students, your teacher will rarely have the time to correct everyone's written outputs in detail. In this private session your tutor can check and correct a written assignment you have prepared beforehand, or give you an assignment appropriate to your level that you can work on together.  If you are a beginner or A-Level learner, your tutor will help you practice spelling, writing what you hear, and provide useful phrases for specific situations. Example lesson: 1-on-1 for Children This session can also be tailored to our youngest learners. Depending on your child's needs, the tutor will combine speaking, reading, writing and listening exercises. Each lesson is fun, immersive and makes use of your child's natural ability for intuitive learning. The tutor will also mix in basic and intermediate grammar topics, depending on your child's current speaking ability and study goals.
